Terms of Service

1. Agreement Scope

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and the Fuel Calculator app developer ("we", "us"), not Apple. Fuel Calculator provides fuel and trip-cost estimation tools. App outputs are estimates and are not guarantees of actual fuel use, route conditions, or final costs.

2. Eligibility and Platform Terms

You must comply with applicable laws and Apple platform terms (including App Store usage rules). These Terms supplement those platform terms.

3. License Grant and Restrictions

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for lawful, non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by applicable App Store usage rules.

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except where law allows.
• Do not use the App in ways that violate law, third-party rights, or platform rules.
• Do not use the App in any prohibited region or in violation of export control laws.

4. Safety and User Responsibility

You are responsible for safe driving and route decisions. Do not interact with the App in a way that distracts from operating a vehicle safely.

5. Data, Sync, and Backups

The App stores records and attachment copies locally on your device. When you are signed into iCloud and iCloud access is available for the App, supported records, attachments, and preferences may sync automatically through Apple iCloud services associated with your account. You are responsible for managing your device, Apple account, iCloud settings, exported files, and backups. Removing the App from one device may not delete copies already synced to iCloud.

6. Third-Party and Apple Services

The App uses Apple system services, including MapKit, Contacts permission APIs, Core Location, Camera and system pickers, CloudKit, iCloud key-value sync, StoreKit, and App Store services. The App also uses RevenueCat to load purchase offerings, validate and restore purchases, and keep Fuel Calculator Pro entitlement status in sync. Availability and behavior of these services may change or be limited by their providers, region, network, account, or device state. Use of those services is also subject to the applicable provider terms and privacy policies.

7. Optional Fuel Calculator Pro Purchase

The App is available as a free download and may offer an optional lifetime Fuel Calculator Pro in-app purchase. The price and included features shown in the App Store purchase flow at the time of purchase control. Apple processes payment and associates the transaction with your App Store account; RevenueCat helps validate, restore, and synchronize the related entitlement. Purchases and refund requests are subject to Apple App Store rules and applicable law. Use Restore Purchases in the App when you need to restore an eligible purchase.

8. Maintenance, Support, and Product Claims

We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App, and for handling claims related to the App (including product liability, legal/regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims), to the extent required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, branding, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your limited license in these Terms, all rights are reserved.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

If mandatory law gives you a non-waivable warranty right, this disclaimer does not limit that right. If a paid in-app purchase fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the applicable purchase price, as provided in Apple terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, or decisions made based on App output. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Apple Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple and Apple subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material updates will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
